WLI-MT—a 501-C3, nonprofit organization based in Bozeman— is seeking a Part-to-Full-Time Spanish Educator for contracted teaching opportunities for youth and adult learners in Big Sky

Wage: Hourly wage is $28-30.

Position Available: Starting in January 2026

Required Skills/Experience

  • High-level proficiency in both Spanish and English
  • Deep passion for and knowledge of Spanish language and culture
  • Experience teaching youth and adult learners
  • Skilled and experienced in effective classroom management
  • Ability to design and adapt learning outcomes and lessons to meet the needs of diverse student groups ranging from youth in afterschool classes to adults learning Spanish for professional purposes
  • Ability to create a positive learning environment and engage diverse range of students
  • If residing outside of Big Sky, the ability to travel (with mileage and time paid) to Big Sky on a regular, scheduled basis
  • Ability to regularly communicate and coordinate with WLI team and students
  • Organization skills, self-reliancy, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a positive, professional approach

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Native Spanish speaker
  • Certification or Bachelor level degree in education, with preference given to language education
  • Program and/or community coordination experience
  • Experience with GSuite and program registration software
  • Preference will be given to Big Sky residents, but candidates living outside the area will be considered. A travel stipend is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver lesson plans tailored to specific audiences that utilize a broad range of appropriate teaching techniques and strategies, remaining in the target language at least 75% of class time
  • Become familiar with and utilize the Communicative Language Teaching principles, emphasizing language learning through student engagement in real-life activities
  • Coordinate class schedule in collaboration with community partners under the guidance of Program Manager
  • Travel to multiple job sites in the Big Sky community
  • Contribute as a key member of WLI core staff team
  • Communicate regularly with participants, parents, and WLI staff
  • Collect/track data, feedback, and program-related outcomes
  • Assist with promotion of classes and enrollment of students
  • Perform other duties as assigned
