Bilingual Shelter Caseworker/Legal Advocate

Overview:

The Bilingual Shelter Caseworker/Legal Advocate will provide comprehensive advocacy and legal support services in English and Spanish to adult survivors of family violence, both in shelter and seeking shelter services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client intake, needs assessments, and weekly case management
• Provide legal advocacy including court accompaniment, legal aid applications, and protective orders
• Facilitate life skills and legal information groups
• Offer crisis intervention, emotional support, and emergency transportation
• Maintain housing resources and legal referral lists
• Collaborate with law enforcement and community agencies
• Supervise interns and volunteers
• Participate in monthly team meetings and cross-program case reviews

Qualifications:

• Bilingual in English and Spanish
• Experience in advocacy, legal support, or social services preferred
• Strong interpersonal and organizational skills

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $44,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
