Overview:
The Bilingual Shelter Caseworker/Legal Advocate will provide comprehensive advocacy and legal support services in English and Spanish to adult survivors of family violence, both in shelter and seeking shelter services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intake, needs assessments, and weekly case management
- Provide legal advocacy including court accompaniment, legal aid applications, and protective orders
- Facilitate life skills and legal information groups
- Offer crisis intervention, emotional support, and emergency transportation
- Maintain housing resources and legal referral lists
- Collaborate with law enforcement and community agencies
- Supervise interns and volunteers
- Participate in monthly team meetings and cross-program case reviews
Qualifications:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
- Experience in advocacy, legal support, or social services preferred
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $44,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
