About the Role

We’re seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Billing Specialist to support our Accounts Receivable operations. This role ensures timely and accurate billing, proactive collection efforts, and exceptional customer communication. You’ll play a key role in maintaining financial accuracy, minimizing delinquent accounts, and ensuring smooth revenue flow.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform hand-dialed collection calls and manage automated dial overflow queues.
• Learn and support the full Accounts Receivable (AR) cycle, including payment posting, reconciliations, and follow-up on outstanding balances.
• Monitor and resolve collection cancels, payment holds, and expired card notifications.
• Maintain and adjust billing plans to reflect service or account changes.
• Process returned statements and assist with collection write-offs as approved.
• Participate in Q&A sessions, system audits, and workflow improvements to strengthen billing accuracy and customer experience.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Customer Service, Operations, and Finance) to resolve account issues quickly and professionally.

Qualifications

• Experience in billing, accounts receivable, or collections preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace (Google Suite), including Google Sheets.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with handling disputes, bankruptcies, and payment plans a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
