
Job Purpose:
we are seeking for Bio-Flooring Supervisor to oversee and coordinate the on-site installation of eco-friendly and bio-based flooring systems, ensuring high-quality workmanship, safety compliance, and adherence to sustainable building practices. The Bio-Flooring Supervisor plays a key role in implementing green construction standards, managing installation teams, and delivering environmentally responsible flooring solutions on time and within budget.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Site Supervision
- Oversee the installation of bio-based flooring materials, ensuring compliance with design specifications and environmental standards.
- Coordinate daily site activities, manage teams, and allocate tasks to installers and technicians.
Quality Control
- Inspect materials and installations for quality, durability, and adherence to green building practices.
- Ensure flooring is installed in compliance with safety and environmental regulations (e.g., LEED, OSHA).
Material Handling & Planning
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and usage of bio-flooring materials (e.g., bamboo, cork, recycled rubber).
- Track inventory and report on material usage, waste, and needs.
Compliance & Documentation
- Maintain installation logs, inspection checklists, and compliance reports.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, client requirements, and sustainability goals.
Team Leadership & Training
- Train crews on the correct installation methods, tool usage, and eco-friendly practices.
- Promote safe work procedures and conduct toolbox talks.
Coordination & Communication
- Liaise with engineers, architects, project managers, and clients to resolve site issues or changes.
- Schedule work to align with project timelines and milestones.
Problem Solving
- Identify and correct installation errors or material defects promptly.
- Suggest improvements in workflow, materials use, and installation efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent (required).
- Technical diploma or certification in flooring installation, construction supervision, or sustainable building (preferred).
- Experience:
- 3–5 years of supervisory experience in flooring installation, with specific exposure to eco-friendly or sustainable materials.
- Proven track record of managing teams and delivering high-quality results on schedule.
- Certifications (Preferred):
- OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety Certification
- LEED Green Associate or equivalent green building credential
- Certified Floorcovering Installer (CFI) or NWFA certification (if applicable to materials used).
Skills:
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in reading blueprints, layout plans, and manufacturer specifications.
- Knowledge of eco-friendly flooring systems, adhesives, moisture barriers, and subfloor prep.
- Leadership:
- Strong supervisory and motivational skills to manage installation crews effectively.
- Ability to maintain discipline and uphold standards on-site.
- Communication:
- Clear and effective communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Capable of documenting work and writing incident or compliance reports.
- Time Management:
- Ability to prioritize and sequence tasks to meet project deadlines.
- Flexibility to adjust schedules in response to project needs or material delays.
