Job Title: Boom Crane Operator

Position Summary:

The Boom Crane Operator is responsible for safely operating, inspecting, and maintaining boom cranes to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment at construction, industrial, or logistics sites. The operator ensures that all lifting operations comply with safety regulations, load specifications, and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate boom (hydraulic, lattice, or telescopic) cranes to lift, move, and position materials safely and efficiently.
• Conduct daily equipment inspections and perform basic maintenance to ensure proper functioning.
• Calculate load weights and determine safe lifting capacities and boom angles.
• Signal and coordinate with riggers, signal persons, and ground crews during lifting operations.
• Read and interpret lift plans, blueprints, and load charts.
• Maintain accurate equipment and lift operation logs.
• Adhere to OSHA, company, and site-specific safety regulations at all times.
• Report mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately to supervisors.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training programs.
• Assist in rigging operations and setup of crane components when required.
