Staff Our Schools teachers provide essential support for our partner center communities by stepping in when their staffing roster is running short! Our teachers provide vital assistance that helps to create a care safety net for our earliest learners, and support for center staff members that depend on a proper foundation for the continuity of care in their classrooms.

As an ECE teacher with Staff Our Schools, your role in our partner center classrooms is vital! Our teachers help center staff support the everyday educational needs of young children across various ECE centers and classroom environments; all while balancing the needs of their own lives outside of the centers.

Staff Our Schools teachers are provided with an immediate shield against industry burnout by way of a weekly work schedule that is 100% teacher designed! We help our teachers to end the age-old battle between their time spent in the classroom and their lives outside of it.

Our scheduling system is designed to give teachers full control over their work week availability. This is essential because no one knows more about what our teachers need in order to balance their life scales than they do; and this balance is key to keeping the ECE classroom wheels turning!

When center staff feels properly supported, they are able to put forth a quality care program; and when our qualified and experienced teachers have an achievable level of flexibility in their work schedules, they are able to assist our partner centers in providing the nurturing and successful learning environments that young children both need and deserve!

General Responsibilities:

  • Provide classroom support as a substitute teacher in Early Childhood Education settings.
  • Assist center staff members with the implementation of lesson plans that meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Engage students in meaningful activities that promote childhood development and learning.
  • Assist center staff members with maintaining a safe and inclusive classroom environments for all children.
  • Support the emotional and social development of the children through positive interactions.

Requirements:

  • Experience and education/coursework in Early Childhood Education or related fields in accordance with WI DCF 251 Licensing & WI Registry requirements.
  • Strong understanding of childhood development principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication skills that lend to positive collaboration with center staff.
  • Experience working with early learners, particularly in early childhood education settings such as child care centers, ECFE's & Head Start programs.
  • Access to reliable transportation that will allow you to commute within our partner center community network .

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
