The Role: Brand Designer II

As a Brand Designer, you’ll play a key role in shaping how the Upstox brand looks, feels, and communicates across platforms. You’ll work closely with the Marketing, Product, and up.studio teams to create visually compelling designs that enhance our brand presence, elevate our storytelling, and connect with diverse audiences. This is a creative and collaborative role for someone with strong design fundamentals, strategic thinking, and a passion for crafting memorable visual experiences.

What You’ll Own:

Brand & Campaign Design: Translate brand strategy and marketing objectives into impactful visual campaigns across digital and print media.

Editorial & Publication Design: Design newsletters, reports, presentations, and publications that communicate complex information with clarity and creativity.

Infographics & Data Visualization: Simplify data-driven stories through smart, engaging visuals that make financial information accessible.

Layout & Composition: Create well-structured designs for ads, landing pages, social media, and internal communications that maintain consistency and brand integrity.

Conceptual Thinking: Develop creative concepts, storyboards, and visual narratives that bring ideas to life.

Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with copywriters, marketers, and product teams to ensure cohesive storytelling and brand alignment.

Who You Are:

3+ years of experience as a Graphic Designer in advertising agencies, design studios, or in-house brand/communication design teams, preferably in a fintech/financial services company/financial news media.

Have a strong portfolio/ proven work record of finance and data-based infographics for social media, online platforms, and newsletters- Interest in finance content

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliver under tight deadlines.

Excellent understanding of layout design, composition, typography, and visual hierarchy.

Strong conceptual and storytelling ability - able to turn ideas into visuals that inspire action.

A collaborative problem-solver who applies a design-thinking approach to business challenges.

Must-Have Tools:

Adobe Creative Suite (especially Illustrator & Photoshop)

Figma (for collaborative design and prototyping)

Core Skills:

Layout design & composition

Typography & visual hierarchy

Infographic and data visualization design

Editorial & publication design

Conceptual thinking & creative story telling
