Job Title: P&C Field Technician
Overview
Hiring experienced Protection & Control (P&C) Field Technicians for full-time nationwide field work. This role focuses on testing, commissioning, and troubleshooting high-voltage substation protection systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Test and commission protection & control systems in high-voltage substations
- Perform relay testing (SEL, GE, Basler, Beckwith) using Omicron/Doble test sets
- Interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Document test results, complete JHAs, and handle basic field reporting
- Support project leads and maintain compliance with safety standards
Requirements
- 5–10 years’ experience in medium/high-voltage electrical system testing
- Strong knowledge of protective relays and control scheme testing
- Proficiency with Omicron/Doble software (Test Universe, ENOSERV RTS, AcSELerator, etc.)
- Familiarity with NETA, IEEE, NFPA standards
- Ability to work on systems up to 500 kV
- Able to pass background/MVR/drug screening and handle field-work physical demands
- Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred but not required)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $58,760.43 - $70,765.25 per year
