Overview

We are looking for a results-driven Building Materials Sales / Sales Manager to lead sales operations, develop customer relationships, and drive revenue growth in the building and construction sector. The ideal candidate will have strong industry knowledge, excellent negotiation skills, and proven experience selling building materials to contractors, developers, distributors, and construction companies.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities within the building materials market.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, architects, consultants, developers, and distributors.
  • Generate leads, conduct sales presentations, and negotiate pricing and contracts.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals, project quotations, and product demonstrations.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify growth opportunities.

Account Management

  • Manage key accounts and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Provide technical product knowledge and support to clients.
  • Follow up on deliveries, orders, and project requirements to ensure seamless customer experience.
  • Address customer concerns and resolve issues promptly.

Sales Leadership (if Manager Level)

  • Lead, train, and mentor the sales team to achieve monthly and annual targets.
  • Set sales goals, develop strategies, and track performance metrics.
  • Coordinate with marketing, logistics, and finance departments to support sales operations.
  • Develop regional expansion plans and manage distribution channels.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly sales reports.
  • Forecast sales performance and identify potential challenges.
  • Contribute to pricing strategies based on market analysis and cost structures.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Civil Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
  • 3–7 years of experience in building materials sales (tiles, gypsum, cement, steel, wood, sanitary ware, or related products).
  • Strong network within the construction and building materials industry.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret project drawings, BOQs, and specifications (advantage).
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a results-driven mindset.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
