About the Role:

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in the Sports domain to bridge the gap between business needs and technology solutions. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of sports operations, data analytics, fan engagement platforms, and digital transformation within the sports ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with product owners, stakeholders, and development teams to gather and define detailed business requirements.

  • Analyze existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and innovation within sports operations or digital platforms.

  • Create functional specifications, user stories, wireframes, and workflow diagrams.

  • Work closely with UI/UX, development, and QA teams to ensure business requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions.

  • Perform data analysis and reporting on player performance, fan engagement, ticketing, or broadcast metrics (as applicable).

  • Support product roadmap planning, prioritization, and sprint activities.

  • Conduct stakeholder workshops, sprint reviews, and demos to validate outcomes.

  • Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and sports regulatory requirements.

  • Stay updated with emerging trends in sports analytics, AI in sports, and digital fan experience platforms.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3–8 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the sports, media, or entertainment domain.

  • Strong experience in requirements gathering, process mapping, and documentation.

  • Familiarity with sports data platforms, CRMs, ticketing systems, or athlete performance analytics tools.

  • Knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.

  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proficiency in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, MS Visio, Power BI, or Tableau.

  • Understanding of APIs, integrations, and digital platforms is a plus.

Good to Have:

  • Exposure to sports analytics, IoT-based sports tracking systems, or fan engagement apps.

  • Experience working with sports federations, clubs, leagues, or broadcasters.

  • Certification in CBAP / Agile BA / Product Owner roles.

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • MBA or equivalent qualification preferred.
