Key Responsibilities

  • Data Pipeline Development: Build, maintain, and optimize data pipelines that effectively clean, transform, and aggregate raw data from disparate sources (ETL processes).
  • Reporting and Automation: Design and automate recurring and ad-hoc reports within spreadsheet platforms (Google Sheets and Excel).
  • Scripting for Efficiency: Write and manage scripts, specifically utilizing Google App Script or similar tools, to automate data tasks and streamline reporting workflows.
  • Business Problem Solving: Use data infrastructure and analytical techniques to solve complex business problems, answer critical questions, and drive process improvements.
  • Documentation and Governance: Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comprehensive documentation for all reporting and data engineering processes.
  • Ad-Hoc Support: Be willing to tackle complicated Ad-hoc reporting tasks as needed by the business.


Must-Have Qualifications & Skills

  • 2-4+ years in data analytics / BI / business intelligence / data engineering roles
  • Hands-on experience with BI / visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, etc.)
  • Proven knowledge and experience with SQL and DBMS to efficiently query and handle large datasets.
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet tools including Google Sheets and Excel, as well as scripting for automation (Google App Script is highly desirable)
  • Experience in building or maintaining ETL processes.
  • Experience building dashboards from scratch, with large and messy data sources
  • Good sense for business metrics, metrics design, causation vs correlation
  • Strong communication skills: explaining insights to non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfort working across functions (finance, operations, product, marketing)


Preferred / Plus

  • Experience in product / SaaS / tech
  • Experience with Python / R / data modeling / advanced analytics
  • Experience with Marketing Mix Modelling
  • Familiarity with the AWS ecosystem is a plus for data engineering-related tasks.
