Job Purpose Summary:

The IT Business Analyst is responsible for analyzing, testing, and supporting various banking applications, including SMS Banking, Call Center Systems, IVR, Online Banking, and Mobile Banking . The role ensures effective collaboration between business users, developers, and QA teams to deliver secure, efficient, and reliable banking solutions. The incumbent will also play a key role in preparing and reviewing business and technical documentation, managing test cases, and ensuring compliance with the bank’s policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) and prepare detailed test cases covering all aspects of the project scope.
  • Conduct System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for core and digital banking solutions.
  • Manage the defect life cycle , including logging, tracking, and reporting on issue resolution and execution status.
  • Collaborate with business users, system analysts, and developers to design and implement efficient business systems.
  • Track and document all changes to business and system specifications.
  • Prepare and assist in developing user manuals, process instructions, and training materials .
  • Coordinate with IT and vendor teams to ensure timely resolution of system incidents and enhancements.
  • Review and validate test results to ensure accuracy, quality, and compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure data protection and confidentiality in all aspects of system management and documentation.
  • Prepare system business cycle specifications and manage output, controls, and reconciliation of transactions and calculations.
  • Support regression testing and test scope analysis for all releases and upgrades.

Education & Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Engineering , or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in the Banking IT Department .
  • Proven experience in analysis and testing of SMS Banking, Call Center Applications, IVR, Online, and Mobile Banking .
  • Strong knowledge of Equation/Core Banking Systems .
  • Solid understanding of Open Banking APIs and integration standards.
  • Experience in business process analysis , system documentation , and regression testing .
  • Hands-on experience in defect management tools and test execution reporting.

Required Special Skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (Arabic preferred).
  • Strong business process analysis and mapping capabilities.
  • Effective time management and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Strong teamwork , coordination, and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Highly customer service oriented with a proactive approach to issue resolution.
  • Commitment to ethics, confidentiality, and data protection standards .
  • Strong planning, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with all levels of management and external contacts.
