Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analyst to support our Institutional Sales Department in the Electrical Industry. The role involves analyzing sales data, market trends, and customer requirements to provide actionable insights that drive revenue growth and strengthen relationships with institutional clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Data & Market Analysis
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret sales data across institutional clients.
  • Identify trends in demand for electrical products (e.g., types of cables & wires, switchgear, lighting solutions, and other products in Polycab portfolio).
  • Provide insights into competitor activities and market positioning.
Business Process Improvement
  • Evaluate sales processes and recommend improvements for efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support automation and digital tools adoption in sales reporting and forecasting.
Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Work closely with the Institutional Sales team to understand client requirements.
  • Liaise with product, pricing, and supply chain teams to ensure smooth execution of large-scale projects.
Reporting & Forecasting
  • Develop dashboards and reports to provide actionable insights for business performance monitoring and decision-making.
  • Assist in preparing business cases, proposals, and presentations for key accounts and monthly business performance reviews.
Project & Tender Support
  • Support bid preparation and tender documentation by analyzing technical and commercial requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and institutional procurement guidelines.
Qualifications
  • MBA
  • ~5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably in the electrical or industrial sector.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical products and institutional procurement processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Power Point, Power BI/Tableau, and CRM tools.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with tendering processes and government/institutional sales is a plus.
