Job Summary
The Business Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the development team, ensuring that business needs are clearly understood, documented, and delivered. This role is responsible for gathering and defining requirements, facilitating communication across teams, and creating Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria within an Agile environment.
Essential Responsibilities
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Lead or participate in requirement-gathering activities such as interviews, workshops, and discussions.
  • Ask thoughtful questions to understand stated and unstated business needs.
  • Evaluate and organize information from multiple sources to create clear and actionable requirements.
  • Write well-structured Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria for Agile development teams.
  • Clearly communicate requirements to stakeholders, product owners, and technical staff.
  • Facilitate meetings to define priorities, clarify expectations, and gain alignment.
  • Support conflict resolution and help drive decisions when priorities differ.
  • Represent the voice of the user to ensure solutions meet business and end-user objectives.
  • Manage workload, deadlines, and tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in monitoring project progress to help ensure on-time delivery.
  • Adapt to evolving project needs and collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrate a general understanding of software development practices, testing, and project workflows.
  • Use standard business tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio.
  • Consistently meet project deadlines and contribute to successful project outcomes.
  • Travel up to 10% may be required.
Minimum Requirements
  • Experience working on Agile and/or Scrum teams.
  • Experience collaborating on software or technology-driven projects.
  • Experience collaborating with vendors is preferred.
  • Experience with JIRA is preferred.
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Education: Bachelor's degree required
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a related role (such as Product, QA, Technical Writing, or Software Development).

Language Skills:
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from a variety of both internal and external sources.
