Job Description

The Business Analyst III will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs, ensuring alignment between business strategies and technology solutions. This role requires extensive experience in business process re-engineering, requirements gathering, documentation, and collaboration with cross-functional IT teams. The analyst will prepare solution options, assess risks, conduct financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI, buy/build), and write detailed functional specifications for development teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs.

• Formulate system solutions to align with overall business strategic goals.

• Lead and support business process re-engineering efforts.

• Identify and recommend new technology applications to enhance business effectiveness.

• Utilize industry-standard business process mapping and re-engineering methodologies.

• Prepare solution options, risk identification, and financial analyses (cost/benefit, ROI).

• Develop detailed functional requirements and documentation for system modifications.

• Participate in software development reviews and collaborate with IT teams.

• Support unit testing, system testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Serve as liaison between business stakeholders and IT (Architecture, Project Delivery, Application Sustain, etc.).

• Conduct data analysis of raw data and provide insights to support requirements and decision-making.

• Apply project management skills; PMP certification is a strong plus.

Candidate Skills & Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• 8+ years of experience reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating business systems and user needs.

• 8+ years of experience in core business analysis knowledge areas and related activities/tasks.

• 8+ years participating in software development reviews, providing input on analysis, design, and testing.

• 8+ years performing or participating in unit testing, system testing, and UAT.

• 8+ years of strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple assignments with accuracy.

• 8+ years of thorough knowledge of SDLC methodologies.

• 8+ years of strong verbal and written communication skills across business and technical stakeholders.

• 5+ years experience serving as a liaison between business teams and IT teams.

• Strong experience as a Data Analyst (analyzing raw data) and Business Analyst (requirements gathering).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with case management system implementations.

• Experience working with Jira for project/task management.

• Project management experience; PMP certification is a significant plus.
