Job Summary:
The Business Systems Analyst will support the Virtual Care Portfolio team by analyzing user requirements, improving existing systems, and facilitating data-driven decision-making. This role requires strong business acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. The analyst will collaborate with executives, clinical stakeholders, and the portfolio owners to complete scoping documents, manage strategic program roadmaps, support governance groups, and create/maintain dashboards using Smartsheet and Google Sheets.
Key Responsibilities:- Gather and document business requirements from stakeholders and domain owners.
- Complete and maintain initial scoping artifacts and ballpark estimates in collaboration with business sponsors.
- Enter, update and/or manage idea records and promote qualified ideas through the demand lifecycle
- Monitor project tracking boards to ensure timely progression through project phases, assisting with any challenges
- Extract data from ServiceNow and maintain reporting dashboards and strategic portfolio roadmaps in Smartsheet and Google Sheets
- Create and manage Smartsheet dashboards and reports using formulas and visual tools
- Coordinate with the Strategic Realization Office and other departments to ensure alignment and progress
- Work independently to meet deliverables and escalate issues appropriately
- Supports governance structure with materials needed for monthly and quarterly meetings, tracking and reporting program progress, managing intake and prioritization views for stakeholder presentation, ensuring follow up items are assigned and completed
- In collaboration with portfolio and application owners, serve as a primary point of communication, providing regular updates and reports to stakeholders, executives, and senior leadership.
Required Skills & Experience:- Bachelor’s degree is required
- 5+ years of experience in clinical systems analysis or a related focused role (e.g., data analyst, project coordinator with technical skills)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills including executive level communication
- Proven ability to work independently and meet deadlines without close supervision
- Proficiency in Google Suite, including Sheets (advanced formulas VLOOKUP, COUNTIFS, SUMIFS), Google Forms, Google Docs, Google Slides, Google Sites
- Experience with Smartsheet (Grid, Timeline, Dashboard) and creating reports using formulas (a plus)
- Experience with Service Now and ability to extract and manage data from ServiceNow
- Basic understanding of healthcare application concepts is required
- Experience in project coordination or stakeholder engagement is required
- Virtual Care experience (a plus)
- Project Management Professional certification (a plus)
