About the Role:

The responsibility of the Business Consultant is to identify & close new doors, expanding our existing client base and support established relationships. You will focus on building strong, long-term partnerships with both new and existing clients, driving growth through strategic outreach and business development techniques. Your role will also involve educating potential and current clients about our collection, while serving as the key point of contact between customers and the business, ensuring customer satisfaction and maximizing sales opportunities.

Job Functions: A Mr. Smith Business Consultant will collaborate closely with the sales and education team to drive salon sales growth and generate new business opportunities. This will be achieved through targeted sales strategies, comprehensive product education, compelling sell-through incentives, exceptional customer service, and effective visual merchandising designed for both exiting & new partnerships.

  • Prospect and maintain a new business pipeline.
  • Focus on closing leads and converting prospects into long-term business partnerships.
  • Actively pursuing new client opportunities and fostering strong, mutually beneficial relationships to drive sustained business growth.
  • Grow and maximise relationships with established salon partners.
  • Call cycle management which includes both existing & prospective clients.
  • Work in partnership with sales & education team to maximise sell through strategies.
  • Manage a call cycle & run list to meet expectations of salon partners.
  • Meet sales goals & product launch targets.
  • Provide salon partners with informative & engaging product knowledge classes.
  • Sell in, and sell through, new business offers & promotions.
  • Assist with salon merchandising, in-salon promotion & online strategies.
  • Be in attendance for all Mr. Smith team meetings, trainings & conferences.
  • Help co-ordinate & assist in local OR national Mr. Smith events.
  • Achieve, and exceed, in company set revenue KPI’s and new door targets.

Experience & Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant sales experience. Outside sales & professional beauty experience is a positive.
  • Self-motivated & competitive.
  • Hunter mentality.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities, embracing new challenges and market trends.
  • A passion for the beauty & cosmetic industry.
  • Understanding of CRM system management, Netsuite specifically, is a positive.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A strong focus on sales & results.
  • Problem solving skills & ability to manage client expectations.
  • Ability to close sales & identify client challenges.
  • Analytical & critical thinking.
  • Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and general comfort with new programs

Compensation, benefits, and commission structure will be outlined during the Mr. Smith interview process.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $50,000.00 per year
