Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Business Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets, developing insightful reports, and supporting strategic decision-making processes. This role requires a strong foundation in data analysis tools and methodologies, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions. The Business Data Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize data workflows and ensure data integrity across various platforms.
Duties
- Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets using SQL, R, Python, and ETL tools such as Talend and Looker.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations utilizing Tableau, Power BI, and Looker to present actionable insights.
- Design and optimize databases in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, and other database systems, ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval.
- Support project management activities within Agile frameworks, including SDLC processes and documentation using Visio.
- Implement database design improvements and manage linked data integrations for comprehensive analytics solutions.
- Conduct business analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and data-driven decision-making.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications for data models and reports.
- Assist in developing automation scripts using VBA, Bash (Unix shell), or other scripting languages to streamline data workflows.
- Ensure compliance with data governance standards while maintaining high levels of data quality and security.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Business Data Analyst or similar role with strong analytical skills.
- Proficiency in SQL, R, Python, VBA, Bash (Unix shell), and ETL tools such as Talend.
- Expertise in visualization platforms including Tableau, Power BI, and Looker.
- Solid understanding of database design principles for Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or similar systems.
- Familiarity with SDLC methodologies and Agile project management practices.
- Experience working with linked data sources and implementing analytics solutions across diverse datasets.
- Strong business analysis skills with the ability to communicate complex findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of project management tools and techniques to support timely delivery of projects.

Pay: $75,343.88 - $90,736.71 per year
