We are hiring an experienced Business Developer / Upwork Specialist to help drive consistent project acquisition and client engagement across global markets. The ideal candidate has hands-on expertise with Upwork bidding, client communication, and digital services sales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify, bid, and secure qualified projects on Upwork and other freelance platforms.
- Draft customized, high-quality proposals tailored to client requirements.
- Conduct follow-ups, manage client responses, and schedule discovery calls.
- Engage with prospects during US business hours to maximize conversion.
- Coordinate with technical, creative, and marketing teams for project scoping.
- Maintain a structured pipeline and track proposal success metrics.
- Build long-term client relationships to generate repeat business.
- Support lead generation efforts through email marketing outreach when needed.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1–2 years of proven experience as a Business Developer or Upwork Specialist.
- Strong command of Upwork algorithms, bidding strategies, and client acquisition.
- Familiarity with software development, design, digital marketing, and related service categories.
- Hands-on experience with email marketing and sales funnel communication.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Consistent availability during US time zone (EST/PST) working hours.
- Ability to independently generate leads, engage clients, and close deals.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience securing high-value and long-term Upwork contracts.
- Strong negotiation and relationship-building capabilities.
- Understanding of project estimation, scope definition, and work breakdown.
