Carers NSW is the peak organisation for carers in NSW. We are a not-for-profit organisation connecting and empowering carers across NSW and improving their quality of life through activities, programs, training and policy advice. We advocate for carers of all ages and circumstances.

As the Business Development and Tender Lead you will be responsible for leading organisational analysis, market research, and competitive intelligence to identify opportunities for sustainable growth and impact for Carers NSW.

Working closely with the CEO, Executive Team, and the broader leadership team, this role will lead preparation, development, and submission of relevant tender opportunities, including Carer Gateway.

This is a contract position until December 2026, based on funding.

Our ideal candidate should possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Health/Social Sciences, Business Project Management and/or suitably recognised qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in tender writing, grants, or business development, ideally in government-funded programmes
  • Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and partnership development
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present complex information clearly
  • High-level organisational skills, with capacity to manage competing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Understanding of the community services sector, preferably carers, disability, aged care, or mental health
  • Knowledge of the role of key stakeholders including State and Australian Governments
  • Advanced computer skills, with strong attention to detail

Salary and Benefits
