Business Development Executive

Department: Business Development/ Sales
Reports to: Head of Sales / Managing Director

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Executive to support and grow our oil & gas trading business. The ideal candidate will have experience in trading physical commodities such as crude oil, refined petroleum products, LNG, LPG, etc., identifying new business opportunities, developing client relationships, and delivering value-added services in the energy trading sector.

Responsibilities:

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities in oil & gas trading -crude oil, refined products, LNG, Energy Services etc.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, traders, refineries, suppliers, and logistics partners.
• Understand market dynamics, price trends, and demand-supply outlooks to support trading strategies.
• Negotiate commercial terms -pricing, delivery, incoterms, payment terms with clients and suppliers.
• Support trading operations by coordinating with internal teams -logistics, finance, legal, risk.
• Monitor and analyze competitor activity and market movements to identify risks and opportunities.
• Prepare business proposals, tender documents, and presentations for potential clients.
• Ensure compliance with internal risk management policies and external regulatory requirements.
• Attend industry events, trade fairs, and conferences to network and represent the company.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Petroleum Engineering, Energy, or related field.
• 1–5 years of experience in oil & gas trading, business development, or sales.
• Strong knowledge of commodity markets, trading terms -Incoterms, and pricing mechanisms.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and in fast-paced trading environments.
• Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
• Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
