Job Title: Business Development Executive

Location: Mohali

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Mid-Level Business Development Executive with proven Upwork experience who can take full ownership of hunting opportunities on Upwork and other job boards. You’ll manage our presence, identify high-value projects, write proposals, and handle client communication through to deal closure in collaboration with the founding team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys scouting, pitching, and building client relationships, with opportunities to grow into full client ownership and senior BD responsibilities over time.

Responsibilities:

● Manage and optimize our Upwork profile and portfolio for better visibility.

● Identify and qualify high-value opportunities on Upwork and other job boards.

● Write and submit customized, high-conversion proposals.

● Communicate with clients in early stages: requirement gathering, clarifications, initial negotiations.

● Support in deal closures alongside the founding team.

● Track BD metrics: proposals sent, response rates, conversions, and revenue influenced.

● Stay up to date with industry trends and competitor activity.

Basic Requirements:

● Proven track record on Upwork: Must showcase past projects/contracts, reviews, and portfolio.

● 1–3 years of relevant experience in business development or client acquisition in IT services.

● Solid understanding of job board scouting, proposal writing, and client qualification.

● Strong written and verbal English communication skills.

● Self-starter mindset with strong organizational and reporting skills.

Good to Have:

● Exposure to Web3, SaaS, web, or mobile app outsourcing projects.

● Familiarity with other freelance/job boards beyond Upwork.

● Prior experience in closing deals independently.

● Ability to manage long-term client relationships and upselling.

Compensation & Incentives:

● Fixed Salary: ₹24,000 – ₹27,000 per month (based on experience and proof of Upwork success).

● Performance Incentives: Additional earnings linked to:

○ Successful deal closures or revenue influenced.

○ Securing repeat clients or higher-value projects.
