Business Development Executive

About the Role

Talentive HR is looking for an experienced Business Development Executive with hands-on expertise in Upwork bidding, lead generation, and client acquisition. This is a project-based, fully remote opportunity for professionals who excel at closing projects, communicating with international clients, and building long-term business relationships.

You will be responsible for identifying suitable projects, submitting impactful proposals, coordinating with internal teams, and helping secure new business through Upwork and similar freelance platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Search, identify, and bid on relevant projects on Upwork (and other freelance platforms when needed).
• Write high-quality proposals tailored to each client’s requirements.
• Communicate with prospective clients, answer queries, and schedule calls when needed.
• Understand client needs and coordinate with internal teams to propose accurate solutions.
• Maintain strong follow-up and ensure conversion of leads into closed projects.
• Track all bids, progress, and client communications in an organized manner.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified opportunities.

Requirements

• Proven experience (1–3+ years) in Upwork bidding or freelance marketplace sales.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (must be fluent in English).
• Ability to create persuasive proposals and customize them per project.
• Familiarity with project requirements across IT, software development, HR, branding, or related services (any relevant domain experience is a plus).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must be target-oriented and results-driven.
• Strong negotiation and client-handling skills.
