The Business Development Manager will be a pivotal leader responsible for driving revenue growth by establishing new client relationships, expanding the service pipeline, and ensuring the profitability of all new business. This role requires a sophisticated understanding of the digital marketing landscape, competitive commercial pricing, and the ability to articulate complex strategies into persuasive, professionally written business proposals.

The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter, a natural team leader, and an expert relationship builder, particularly within the LinkedIn ecosystem.

Salary: (Target Based) + Commission on extra turnovers.

Key Responsibilities

1. Strategic Commercial and Market Insight

  • Commercial Expertise: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the commercial landscape for various digital marketing services (e.g., SEO, Social Media, Content Marketing, Graphic Design, Gifting indutry, Web Development), including typical pricing models, delivery costs, and competitor rates.
  • Profitability Analysis: Utilize market and cost data to architect profitable service offerings and pricing strategies for bespoke client solutions.
  • Service Definition: Collaborate with delivery teams to ensure the sales pitch and commercial documentation accurately reflect service capabilities and potential client ROI.

2. Expert Proposal and Documentation

  • Proposal Authorship: Act as the lead author and architect for all high-value business proposals, RFPs, and statements of work (SOWs).
  • Persuasive Communication: Translate technical digital strategies and marketing concepts into clear, compelling, and client-centric business documents that effectively communicate value and competitive advantage.
  • Presentation Mastery: Develop and deliver engaging presentations (virtual and in-person) that support the proposals and close business effectively.

3. Lead Generation and Nurturing

  • LinkedIn Strategy: Spearhead and execute a targeted, content-driven lead nurturing strategy primarily using LinkedIn and LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Targeted Outreach: Identify, engage, and qualify decision-makers and high-potential prospects through strategic social selling techniques.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate long-term relationships with new and existing clients through regular, value-added follow-up and pipeline management.

4. Leadership and Sales Management

  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a small team of Business Development Representatives (BDRs) or sales support staff to meet and exceed quarterly sales targets.
  • Pipeline Oversight: Own the full sales cycle, from initial outreach to contract signing, ensuring all activities and follow-ups are meticulously tracked in the CRM system.
  • Client Follow-ups: Establish and maintain rigorous follow-up protocols for all active leads, qualified prospects, and recently closed clients to ensure satisfaction and identify cross-selling opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Business Development or Sales, with at least 3 years focused specifically on selling Digital Marketing or high-value service-based solutions.
  • Proven expertise in competitive analysis and commercial modeling (understanding margins, costs, and market pricing).
  • Exceptional professional writing and editing skills with a strong portfolio of successful proposals, SOWs, or white papers.
  • Demonstrated mastery of LinkedIn Sales Navigator and modern social selling strategies.
  • Prior experience in leading or mentoring a small sales team.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹1.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
