Key Responsibilities
Business Development
- Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities across construction, oil & gas, infrastructure, and industrial sectors.
- Build and sustain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Prepare and present proposals, quotations, and tenders; lead contract and pricing negotiations.
- Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer requirements to shape strategic sales plans.
- Meet and exceed sales, revenue, and profitability targets established by management.
Laboratory Operations
- Oversee daily laboratory operations to ensure accurate, timely, and high-quality testing services.
- Collaborate with technical and quality teams to maintain full compliance with ISO/IEC 17025 and other relevant standards.
- Ensure proper equipment calibration, maintenance, and optimal resource utilization.
- Supervise laboratory personnel, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
- Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workflow efficiency, turnaround time, and client satisfaction.
Leadership & Coordination
- Act as a key link between management and technical teams to align operational goals with business strategy.
- Prepare and present regular operational, performance, and financial reports to senior management.
- Drive initiatives for cost optimization, productivity improvement, and process excellence.
- Lead, mentor, and evaluate team members to support professional growth and high performance.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5–8 years of experience [ minimum 2 years in UAE] in laboratory, testing, or construction services environments, with a strong background in business development and operations management.
- In-depth knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 standards, quality systems, and laboratory processes.
- Demonstrated success in sales, client acquisition, and key account management.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with ERP and LIMS systems preferred.
