Job Description:
As a Business Development & Sales Support Intern, you will work closely with our sales and business development teams to support their efforts in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. This role is ideal for someone with entry-level experience who is eager to gain valuable skills and experience in business development and sales.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Research and identify potential new business opportunities and target markets
  • Assist in developing and maintaining a database of potential leads and prospects
  • Support the sales team in preparing sales presentations, proposals, and other materials
  • Participate in sales meetings and client calls to gain exposure to the sales process
  • Cold call, warm calls and direct mail
Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business, Marketing, or a related field
  • Strong interest in business development, sales, and marketing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and other relevant software applications

A company in Central Virginia is looking to higher intern and helping the student grow through a program with Josh Smith, VCU faculty member.

Benefits

The credit for this internship could be 1 credit if approved by VCU in advance.

Hourly rate determined by employer in advance.
