The Business Development Manager is responsible for leading the entire business development function, setting the department's strategic direction, identifying high-value growth opportunities, establishing key partnerships, and ensuring the company's sustainable growth-particularly within the construction and contracting sectors.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the implementation of comprehensive business development strategies aligned with the company's growth objectives.
- Identify new business opportunities, including new markets, clients, partnerships, and projects.
- Build and maintain high-level relationships with government entities, developers, consultants, and major contractors.
- Supervise the preparation of competitive proposals and tender submissions for major projects.
- Review and approve project evaluation models and feasibility studies.
- Lead high-level negotiations to secure strategic partnerships and project awards.
- Analyze market trends and competitors to refine business strategies.
- Set performance goals for the business development team and monitor their execution.
- Represent the company in strategic meetings, exhibitions, and forums.
- Collaborate closely with executive management in setting revenue targets and business goals.
- Oversee client relationship management efforts to ensure client satisfaction and long term partnerships.
- Mentor and develop the capabilities of the business development team.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of +3 years of experience in business development, with at least 2 years in a managerial or leadership role, preferably in the construction or contracting sector.
- Deep knowledge of the Saudi market, especially in construction and public/private tendering processes.
- Proven track record of winning major projects and closing strategic deals.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
- Excellent communication in both Arabic and English.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, Microsoft Office Suite, and market intelligence platforms.
