Job Title: Business Development Engineer

Location: Ahmedabad

Key Responsibilities

• Market Analysis & Opportunity Identification

• Analyze urban infrastructure trends, government initiatives, and competitor activities to identify business opportunities.

• Evaluate potential markets for smart cities, transportation systems, water management, and sustainable urban development.

• Strategic Planning & Proposal Development

• Develop business strategies aligned with municipal goals and infrastructure needs.

• Prepare technical proposals, feasibility studies, and cost-benefit analyses for public and private sector clients.

• Client Engagement & Relationship Management

• Build and maintain relationships with city planners, government agencies, contractors, and developers.

• Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and stakeholder meetings.

• Cross-functional Collaboration

• Work closely with engineering, design, and project management teams to ensure technical solutions meet client expectations.

• Translate client needs into actionable engineering deliverables.

• Project Acquisition & Negotiation

• Lead bid preparation and tender submissions for urban infrastructure projects.

• Negotiate contracts and partnership agreements with public and private entities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, or related field.

• 3–7 years of experience in business development or project engineering within infrastructure or construction sectors.

• Strong understanding of urban development policies, sustainability standards, and smart city technologies.

Skills & Competencies

• Technical Acumen in infrastructure systems (transport, utilities, public spaces).

• Business Strategy and financial modeling for large-scale projects.

• Communication & Negotiation skills for stakeholder engagement.

• Project Management and familiarity with tools like MS Project, AutoCAD, or GIS.

• Regulatory Knowledge of urban planning codes and environmental standards.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
