Discipline: Business Environment Development
Role Purpose: To analyze and enhance the national business and investment ecosystem by benchmarking against international indices, identifying structural constraints, and supporting the design and implementation of policy and regulatory reforms that improve competitiveness and readiness for investment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic assessments of the business environment, identifying legal, institutional, and procedural barriers to investment and entrepreneurship.
- Benchmark Qatar’s performance against global indices and international best practices to identify competitiveness gaps and reform priorities.
- Develop actionable recommendations for improving the business climate, enhancing regulatory quality, and streamlining government-to-business services.
- Design and monitor initiatives aimed at enhancing investment climate and national competitiveness, in alignment with national economic objectives.
- Produce data-driven insights to support evidence-based policy decisions and inform reform design.
- Coordinate cross-sector readiness assessments and facilitate collaboration among ministries, agencies, and stakeholders.
- Support the preparation of reform roadmaps, policy proposals, and implementation tracking frameworks.
- Facilitate stakeholder workshops, technical consultations, and public-private dialogues to build consensus around reform initiatives.
- Prepare regular reports, presentations, and briefings on competitiveness trends, performance indicators, and reform progress.
