Wright, Constable & Skeen, L.L.P., is seeking a full-time Business Immigration Paralegal to work in our Bethesda, Maryland office. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of experience handling a variety of business-immigration matters, including EB-1A, NIW, E-2, O-1, H-1B, PERM, and other NIV case types, with some experience in family-based and asylum matters.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, drafting, and filing business-immigration petitions, including EB-1A, NIW, O-1, E-2, H-1B, and PERM.
- Assisting with family-based and asylum cases as needed.
- Managing case timelines, tracking deadlines, and ensuring timely filings with USCIS and the Department of Labor.
- Communicating professionally with clients, beneficiaries, and internal teams regarding case strategy, document requirements, and case status.
- Preparing client questionnaires, checklists, cover letters, and supporting documentation.
- Maintaining organized and up-to-date case files in electronic case-management systems.
- Conducting background research and compiling evidence for extraordinary-ability and national-interest petitions.
- Supporting attorneys with additional tasks as needed within the immigration practice group.
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of paralegal experience focused on business immigration in a law-firm environment (experience with EB-1A, NIW, E-2, O-1, H-1B, PERM strongly preferred).
- Some experience with family-based immigration and/or asylum work is a plus.
- Strong competence with immigration filings (USCIS, DOL, consular, etc.), and case-tracking software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; professional client interaction experience.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to manage multiple matters simultaneously under deadline.
- Ability to work proactively and independently within a team environment.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, PDF editing, e-filings; familiarity with INS-Zoom is a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive salary, commensurate with experience, range from $60,000 – $75,000 (depending on the candidate’s level of experience)
