Busser/Food Runner

We are looking for a Busser to join our team and help support our wait staff. If you enjoy a fast-paced working environment and want to kickstart your career in the hospitality industry, we'd like to meet you! Ultimately, you will help to ensure our daily operations run smoothly and our guests have a pleasant dining experience.

The Busser will work primarily in the dining area of the restaurant. They will tend to diners and assist waitstaff with their duties. The Busser’s duties and responsibilities include:

• Prepare dining areas before guests are seated.
• Decorate tables with candles, napkins, linens and flowers.
• Place tableware and condiments on tables.
• Serve water and welcome snacks.
• Removing used plates, glasses, cutlery and napkins from tables as diners are done eating.
• Refill beverages as needed.
• Wiping up spills, food stains, food scraps, and dust, from tables.
• Bringing out meal orders if waitstaff are busy.
• Clean and reset tables after guests leave.
• Refilling paper napkins, salt and pepper shakers and any other depleted condiments on the dining tables.
• Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
• Cleaning of the dining area at the close of day.

Who you are…

You have prior experience as a busser in a full service restaurant with a full bar

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

You have great guest service experience

You are friendly, accommodating, and inclusive

You are a team player with a guest first attitude

You have a passion for great food

You have solid communication skills both in person and on the phone

You have the ability to stand/walk and carry heavy trays, for extended periods of time

You have the ability to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment

You have the ability to do continuous bending, reaching, twisting and have full use of hands and arms

You can lift up to 50 lbs

You have the ability to meet availability requirements

You have the ability to understand English at a sufficient level to receive and perform basic job assignments and instructions

You have the ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs

Job Type: Full-Time

Pay: $16.00 per hour plus tips

Expected hours: 18 hours per week

Shift: 5-8hrs, PM shifts

Qualifications
- Previous experience in bussing and food running roles
- Strong communication skills to interact with guests and team members effectively
- Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food service and hospitality industry practices
- Experience in guest services and ensuring customer satisfaction
- Familiarity with cleaning and maintaining restaurant areas

Job Type: Part-time

Base Pay: From $16.50 per hour
