Job Description

The main job function of this buyer focuses on the prompt procurement of all raw materials (parts) for the use of local production, and any raw materials to be consigned to JPC-PT offshore suppliers as needed. The daily activities include the following:

•     Search and work with suppliers, distributors or directly with manufacturers to get the pricing and stock availability status of needed parts, including the price negotiation.

•     Generate Purchase Orders and send them to the vendors which will supply the parts.

•     Follow up with vendors for the open orders and ensure timely delivery.

•     Manage part inventory with proper methods e.g. Min/Max

•     Any other tasks assigned by his/her reporting manager.

Employee Qualifications

This position required 3 years+ purchasing work experience, preferably in an electronic/electrical industry. Working knowledge in connector/cable assembly industry is a plus.

•     Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to clearly articulate the needs and avoid misunderstanding.

•     Need analytical skills, negotiation skills, and an aptitude for figures.

•     Buyers should be able to work well independently and with a team, build strong relationships with colleagues and vendors, and learn new skills quickly, in order to bring in the needed parts for fast-paced local production.

•     Willing to follow the directions given by manager.

Language Requirements

Fluent in English is a MUST. Bilingual in Mandrin Chinese is preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
