Hours: 40 hours/week; full-time Position SummaryBEPC Inc. is seeking a Buyer to support procurement operations at the client site in Urbana, OH. This role requires a motivated professional with strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to work onsite. After a 90-day review, the role may shift to hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH).Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance; no relocation will be considered. Key Responsibilities
- Purchase and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from approved vendors.
- Evaluate vendor quotes to determine optimal suppliers based on cost, quality, and service.
- Follow established procurement processes and guidelines.
- Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with requirements.
- Work under direct supervision while contributing to procurement operations.
- Use procurement software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
- Submit timesheets via Time Workbench.
Required Qualifications (Top 3–5 Must-Haves)
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying.
- Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
- Knowledge of buying strategies, supplier relations, and cost control.
- Proficiency with procurement tools/software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

- Aerospace industry background
- JIT experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
