Hours: 40 hours/week; full-time Position SummaryBEPC Inc. is seeking a Buyer to support procurement operations at the client site in Urbana, OH. This role requires a motivated professional with strong negotiation skills, supplier management experience, and the ability to work onsite. After a 90-day review, the role may shift to hybrid (3 days onsite / 2 days WFH).Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance; no relocation will be considered. Key Responsibilities

  • Purchase and negotiate materials, equipment, and supplies from approved vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor quotes to determine optimal suppliers based on cost, quality, and service.
  • Follow established procurement processes and guidelines.
  • Manage supplier relationships and ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Work under direct supervision while contributing to procurement operations.
  • Use procurement software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
  • Submit timesheets via Time Workbench.

Required Qualifications (Top 3–5 Must-Haves)

  • 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or buying.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Knowledge of buying strategies, supplier relations, and cost control.
  • Proficiency with procurement tools/software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational abilities.

Nice to Have

  • SAP experience
  • Planning experience
  • Aerospace industry background
  • JIT experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
