About the Role:

As a Buyer Broker at Legendary Marine in Destin, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the purchase of marine vessels and related equipment on behalf of clients. Your primary objective will be to represent buyers' interests by identifying suitable boats, negotiating purchase terms, and ensuring a smooth transaction process from initial inquiry through closing. You will leverage your market knowledge and negotiation skills to secure the best possible deals while maintaining strong relationships with sellers, manufacturers, and other brokers. This role requires a deep understanding of the marine industry, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple client needs simultaneously. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to client satisfaction and the continued reputation of Legendary Marine as a trusted brokerage service in the marine market.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in marine brokerage, boat sales, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of marine vessels, including specifications, market values, and industry terminology.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple client relationships and transactions simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification or licensing relevant to marine brokerage or real estate brokerage.
  • Experience with marine survey processes and familiarity with maritime regulations.
  • Established network within the marine industry, including contacts with manufacturers and dealers.
  • Proficiency with marine brokerage software and CRM tools.
  • Knowledge of financing options and insurance products related to boat purchases.

Responsibilities:

  • Consult with clients to understand their specific boating needs, preferences, and budget constraints.
  • Research and identify potential vessels that meet client criteria, including new and pre-owned boats.
  • Negotiate purchase prices, terms, and conditions with sellers or their representatives to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Coordinate inspections, sea trials, and surveys to ensure vessel condition and compliance with client expectations.
  • Manage all documentation and contractual processes involved in the purchase transaction to ensure legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, vessel availability, and pricing to provide informed advice to clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with boat manufacturers, dealers, and other brokers to expand sourcing opportunities.
  • Provide ongoing support and communication to clients throughout the buying process to ensure transparency and satisfaction.
