GENERAL SUMMARY:
Responsible for transactional purchasing activities including placing and tracking purchase orders, managing supplier communications, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services. Supports supply chain operations by maintaining accurate purchasing records and inventory levels.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Create and place purchase orders based on MRP demand and stock levels.
  • Monitor order confirmations, delivery schedules, and expedite or delay orders as needed.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing data in the ERP system (Macola).
  • Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, discrepancies, and routine follow-ups.
  • Support supplier returns and resolution of non-conforming material.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels through routine cycle count support.
  • Participate in year-end inventory activities.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.


REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Basic understanding of purchasing and inventory control principles.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Outlook, and ERP systems.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication.


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1+ year of purchasing or inventory management experience preferred.
  • Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
