Job Description
The Buyer is responsible for inventory management for their assigned salons. This role focuses on maintaining an optimal product assortment at each salon, tailored to the needs and preferences of the beauty professionals at that location. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, has strong communication skills, and is able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Analyze sales data and inventory reports for assigned salon locations
· Place orders with vendor partners to ensure product availability in the salons, balanced stock levels and alignment with sales trends
· Coordinate with the Education team to support in-salon pop-up education events by maintaining in-stock positions on focus products
· Partner with the Operations team to understand Salon Republic member preferences in each location to guide brand and product assortments
· Monitor “dusty” inventory at each salon location and implement strategies to reduce slow-moving stock and improve turn
· Work closely with the Merchandising Coordinator and with Salon Republic’s vendor partners to ensure smooth product flow
· Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager to help support monthly promotions and key product launches to drive sales
· Determine optimal opening assortments for new salon locations with support from the Merchandising Manager and Operations team
Qualifications
· 1–3 years of experience in buying, planning and/or inventory management
· Occasional local travel to the corporate office or salons may be required
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Understanding of basic retail concepts such as GMROI and turn
· High level of organization and attention to detail
· Ability to manage multiple locations simultaneously
· Advanced Excel skills preferred

· Ability to analyze data to forecast demand and plan assortments
· Professional communication when interacting with vendors
· Adaptable to shifting trends, supply constraints, and business priorities
· Strong sense of ownership and initiative
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
