Parkinson Technologies Inc., a growing manufacturer of winding and plastic processing equipment, has an immediate opening for a Buyer/Expediter. The individual will report to the Purchasing Manager and will be a hands-on, detail-oriented contributor to our Purchasing department.

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with vendors to obtain quotes, place orders, and negotiate pricing and terms of purchases.
• Assist in monitoring supplier performance
• Work with Accounts Payable to reconcile invoice/receipt discrepancies
• Expedite delivery of goods and returns for credit/replacement

Qualifications:

• 1-2 years experience buying production materials in a manufacturing environment
• Strong computer skills. MRP / ERP software experience desired
• Strong negotiating skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to plan ahead and be proactive
• Must have strong organization and follow-up skills.
• A fast learner with a positive attitude.

Pay: $47,800.00 - $55,500.00 per hour
