About the Role:
The Cabin First Aid Training Manager is responsible for the design, delivery, and continuous improvement of First Aid training programs for Flight and Cabin Crew. This role ensures full compliance with QCAA and other regulatory requirements, while aligning with industry best practices. The manager will ensure that all crew members are equipped to respond effectively to onboard medical emergencies and will oversee Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) initiatives related to cabin operations.
You will develop, implement, and update comprehensive, compliant First Aid training programs for Flight and Cabin Crew, , ensuring regulatory compliance and competency through structured sessions, hands-on practical’s, and assessments. You will evaluate program effectiveness and make data driven improvements, manage a team of instructors (including recruit, coach, and review performance), oversee training budgets and maintain accurate records, and collaborate with other departments and medical professionals to ensure programs remain current with industry standards and regulations and are effective. You will also review incident reports, assist with investigations, oversee OHS programs for cabin operations (including risk assessments and policy implementation), provide health and safety guidance to staff, manage third-party training, and perform other duties as assigned.
Additional responsibilities include implementing cost-effective, eco-friendly systems within First Aid Training, managing contracts and SLAs with external providers, and managing key strategic First Aid training projects.
This is a permanent position based in Doha, Qatar.
About You:
To be successful in this position, you must have:
Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent (preferably in in Nursing, Paramedicine, Occupational Health & Safety, Education, or a related field) with a minimum of 6 years’ job-related experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in First Aid practice or Emergency Medical Services, with at least 2 years in a training or managerial role.
Certification in First Aid/CPR Instruction (e.g., Medaire, St. John Ambulance, or equivalent)
Strong managerial skills, including the ability to delegate, set clear direction, manage workflow, and foster teamwork through mentoring, coaching, and team development
Additionally, candidates meeting the following criteria are preferred:
Possessing Train the Trainer certification
Possessing in-depth knowledge of aviation regulations (e.g., ICAO, IATA, EASA, FAA) related to First Aid and OHS
Familiar with occupational health and safety practices
