Your Role:

• Work closely with Project Managers and Engineers to set up, prepare and manage construction drawings
• Prepare dimensional drawings, create, and modify base drawings
• Revise and update existing drawings to reflect design changes
• Create and manage electronic document file structure, naming conventions in accordance with company/client standards
• Prepare project documents from beginning to end with professional quality output
• Work on multiple projects at the same time to successful completion
• Follow CAD standards, whether the customer’s or Tetra Tech’s
• Work with project teams on drawings that meet and exceed the customer’s requirements (bid and submittal phase).

Qualifications:

• Associate degree in CAD Drafting or a related field from a technical trade school, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
• Proven experience using CAD platforms for civil drawings in compliance with client standards
• Proficiency working with feature lines, grading objects, survey points, profiles, surfaces, and pipe networks

Specialized Knowledge and Abilities:

• Experience with Bentley OpenRoads Designer preferred
• Excellent communication skills, including interpersonal, listening, oral, and written abilities
• Proficient in PC usage and associated software, including Microsoft Office and Bluebeam (or similar PDF tools)
• Ability to generate layout drawings from sketches and specifications
• Knowledge of standard drafting practices and procedures
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision while exercising sound judgment
• Strong time management and scheduling abilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
• Demonstrated success in meeting objectives and project requirements
