CAD Designer

1CUTFAB is growing, and we’re looking for someone who wants a long-term career in design and fabrication. This is a full-time, on-site position, perfect for someone who loves solving problems, creating precise designs, and being involved in hands-on shop work when needed.

Position: CAD Designer (Proficient in SolidWorks)

What You’ll Do:

• Create detailed 2D and 3D CAD models primarily in SolidWorks. Design e-bike parts and more.

• Prepare drawings for laser cutting, waterjet cutting, bending, and fabrication

• Work closely with the shop team to ensure designs are accurate and manufacturable

• Revise and optimize existing part files and assemblies

• Assist with product development and custom fabrication projects

• May also work in the shop when needed, including:

• Operating the laser and waterjet

• Bending parts on the press brake

• Detabbing, cutting, deburring, and prepping parts

• Material handling and general shop tasks

Who We’re Looking For:

• Someone proficient in SolidWorks (required)

• Strong attention to detail and passion for precision

• Interest in both CAD work and hands-on fabrication

• Ability to work independently and within a team

• Experience in fabrication, mechanical work, or shop environments is a plus
