CAD Designer/CAD Drafter / Interior Designer

Overview
We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented CAD Designer/CAD Drafter / Interior Designer to join our dynamic team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects, including interior renovations, lighting design, and remodeling. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills in CAD software, a keen eye for aesthetics, and experience managing projects from concept to completion. This position is essential in translating creative ideas into precise technical drawings and visualizations that meet client specifications and industry standards.

Duties

• Develop detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite for interior design, renovation, and remodeling projects
• Create accurate construction documents, contracts, and lighting plans that adhere to project requirements and building codes
• Utilize Bluebeam for markup and collaboration on project plans and specifications
• Produce compelling visual presentations with Adobe Photoshop and other visualization tools to communicate design concepts effectively
• Collaborate with project management teams to ensure timely delivery of design deliverables
• Assist in lighting sales by designing lighting layouts and specifying fixtures based on client needs and budget constraints
• Conduct color theory analysis to enhance interior aesthetics and ensure cohesive design schemes
• Support clients through remodeling projects by providing detailed drawings, specifications, and material selections
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards

Experience

• Proven experience with CAD drafting, interior design, or related fields with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Rhinoceros 3D, and Adobe Creative Suite
• Familiarity with project management principles including budgeting, scheduling, and client communication
• Knowledge of construction processes, renovation techniques, lighting design, and remodeling procedures
• Ability to interpret architectural plans and technical specifications accurately
• Experience working with contracts and understanding of industry standards for interior projects
• Strong skills in drafting, color theory application, and visual presentation techniques
• Prior involvement in lighting sales or lighting design is a plus
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temp-to-hire

Pay: $28.24 - $34.01 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 35 per week
