Job Objectives:

To ensure the labor camp operates at the highest standards of employee welfare, safety, and efficiency. The Camp Boss is responsible for proactively managing and supervising all worker accommodations, facilities, and operations, while promptly escalating any issues or concerns to the reporting manager.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Accommodation & Facilities Management

  • Manage daily camp operations, ensuring all accommodation units are clean, safe, and well maintained.
  • Supervise housekeeping staff, maintenance teams, and service providers.
  • Coordinate repairs related to plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance.
  • Conduct routine inspections of rooms, toilets, kitchens, dining areas, and common facilities.
  • Ensure proper waste management and cleanliness standards at all times.

2. Staff Welfare & Discipline

  • Maintain discipline among camp residents in line with company policies.
  • Monitor staff attendance, behaviours, and compliance with rules.
  • Handle grievances and escalate issues to the Admin & Facilities Manager when needed.
  • Coordinate medical support, emergency assistance, and welfare-related needs.

3. Administrative & Records Management

  • Maintain accurate camp occupancy records.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on camp condition, occupancy, and maintenance.
  • Monitor and manage camp inventory (beds, linens, furniture, appliances, etc.).
  • Oversee meal distribution (if applicable) and ensure food quality standards with catering.

4. Safety, Security & Compliance

  • Ensure camp compliance with all HSE regulations and civil defence requirements.
  • Conduct safety briefings and coordinate fire drills.
  • Report hazards, unsafe conditions, and incidents immediately.
  • Ensure proper functioning of fire alarms, extinguishers, emergency lights, and exits.

5. Logistics & Support (If approved by management)

  • Coordinate transportation schedules for staff when required.
  • Assist with staff mobilization/demobilization logistics.
  • Support onboarding of new employees (room allocation, orientation, documentation).

6. Vendor & Contractor Coordination

  • Liaise with maintenance contractors, cleaning companies, pest control, and other service providers.
  • Verify completion of works and escalate delays or issues.

7. Budget & Resource Management

  • Suggest cost-saving initiatives without affecting welfare or safety.
  • Ensure efficient use of utilities such as electricity, water, and gas

Qualifications:

High School Diploma

Years of Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years
