Position Description: Job Title: Canopy Installer Fueling Stations & Car Washes
Overview
We are seeking a motivated and safety-conscious Canopy Installer to join our construction and installation team. This position involves installing, maintaining, and repairing canopies for fueling stations and car wash facilities. Training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to build a career in construction, metal structures, or industrial installation.
Extensive travel is required. Our installers typically work two weeks on the road and then return home for one weekend before heading out to the next project. The company provides hotel accommodations and a daily per diem to cover meals and personal expenses while traveling.
Key Responsibilities
Assemble and install canopy structures for fueling stations and car wash facilities, following blueprints, plans, and safety protocols.
Assist with site preparation, including measuring, layout, and ensuring accurate structural alignment.
Install lighting and signage components as part of canopy systems (training provided).
Support maintenance and repair projects, identifying and addressing issues with canopy panels, frames, or lighting.
Operate tools and equipment safely, including lifts, ladders, and power tools (certifications may be provided).
Work collaboratively with project managers, electricians, and team members to meet installation deadlines.
Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
Complete project documentation, including installation photos, measurements, and progress reports.
Qualifications
No formal education required full on-the-job training provided.
Construction, mechanical, or electrical experience is a plus but not required.
Comfortable working outdoors and at heights.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required.
Willingness to travel extensively and work away from home for extended periods (typically two weeks at a time).
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
Experience with fuel station canopies or car wash structures.
Familiarity with metal fabrication, welding, or electrical systems.
Certifications in forklift, boom lift, or aerial platform operation.
