We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join team. The ideal candidate will have experience in residential and commercial construction projects, capable of performing a variety of carpentry tasks including framing, finishing, and cabinetry. The carpenter will work closely with other construction professionals to ensure high-quality craftsmanship, timely completion, and compliance with safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry tasks, including framing, installing drywall, building and installing cabinetry, and constructing wood structures.
- Measure, cut, and shape wood, plastic, and other materials using hand and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications to determine project requirements.
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, shelves, and other wooden fixtures in accordance with design plans.
- Build and install frameworks, scaffolds, partitions, and other structures.
- Ensure the accurate installation of materials and components to meet quality standards and specifications.
- Assist in the construction of staircases, flooring, roofing, and other wooden features.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing wooden structures and installations.
- Work collaboratively with other contractors, engineers, and clients to ensure project completion on time and within budget.
- Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to ensure the safety of yourself and others on the job site.
- Keep accurate records of materials used and tasks completed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or apprenticeship in carpentry preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter, preferably in a general contracting environment.
- Strong knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, blueprints, and construction drawings.
- Skilled in using a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machinery related to carpentry work.
- Knowledge of building codes and safety regulations.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Good physical condition and the ability to lift heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with advanced carpentry tasks such as custom cabinetry, trim work, or cabinetry installation.
- Knowledge of drywall installation and finishing techniques.
- Ability to speak Arabic is a plus
