Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out daily carpentry tasks including repairs, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of furniture, doors, cabinets, flooring, and other wooden fixtures in accordance with hotel standards.
- Perform preventive and corrective carpentry work promptly and effectively to support smooth hotel operations.
- Respond to guest room maintenance requests professionally and courteously, ensuring all carpentry issues are resolved in a timely manner.
- Ensure all work is completed safely, neatly, and in compliance with hotel safety and service standards.
- Assist in resolving guest complaints related to carpentry concerns, ensuring repairs are completed to guests’ satisfaction.
- Attend daily briefings, review assigned tasks, and coordinate with the Engineering team to ensure efficient workflow.
- Maintain accurate records of carpentry work completed, materials used, and any required follow-up actions.
- Ensure proper use, cleaning, and storage of carpentry tools, equipment, and materials, following hotel guidelines.
- Inspect and maintain wooden furniture, doors, fixtures, and decorative elements to ensure they remain in good condition.
- Support Engineering colleagues by assisting with minor maintenance tasks when required.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the carpentry workshop and storage areas at all times.
- Follow daily work schedules and instructions provided by the Engineering Supervisor or Duty Engineer.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Carpenter in a 4- or 5-star hotel or similar environment.
- Strong skills in carpentry, joinery, and furniture repair.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
- Good knowledge of carpentry tools, materials, and safe working practices.
- Ability to read basic technical drawings and perform precise measurements.
- Ability to multitask, work under pressure, and complete tasks independently.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
