Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Carpenter / Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves performing a variety of carpentry and labor tasks on commercial and residential projects, ensuring quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction, framing, trim carpentry, and related trades, with the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately execute project plans.
- Perform framing, trim carpentry, door hanging, fixture installation, and siding work.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, CNC equipment, and other machinery safely and effectively.
- Assist with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and drywall work such as plastering and stucco application.
- Conduct restoration tasks including water damage remediation, mold remediation, water damage restoration, and general renovation projects.
- Measure and cut materials precisely for cabinetry, cabinetry installation, metal stud framing, water damage restoration, or remodeling projects.
- Handle heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks required for construction site work.
- Follow safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment at all times.
- Assist with fabrication tasks on-site or in the shop as needed.
- Support plumbing, electrical work (if qualified), or other specialized trades during project execution.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site work with knowledge of framing, roofing, drywall finishing, or remodeling projects.
- Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately; familiarity with schematics is a plus.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in carpentry and construction.
- Experience with concrete forming, rebar installation, masonry, or metal stud framing is preferred.
- Knowledge of restoration industry practices including mold remediation and water damage restoration is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; physically fit to handle demanding tasks throughout the workday.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills on-site.
- Valid <PERSON> (or relevant certification/license if applicable).
- Prior experience with fabrication or CNC machinery is a plus but not required. Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
