Case Manager (Personal Injury)

Location: Lewiston, ME (In-Person)
Pay: $24.00 – $27.00 per hour (based on experience)

The Role

Hardy Wolf & Downing, one of Maine’s leading personal injury law firms, is hiring a Case Manager to join our team in Lewiston.

Our Case Management team is the engine that keeps cases moving. We work quickly, communicate constantly, and support one another as we turn complex files into organized, settlement-ready presentations. What You Will Do

Medical Records & Damages

Request, organize, and audit medical records and bills to ensure the file tells the full, accurate story of the client’s injury.

Lien Resolution

Identify and track lienholders (Medicare, MaineCare, private health insurers, etc.) to ensure settlements are calculated correctly and nothing is overlooked.

Client Communication

Serve as the client’s primary point of contact during case management. Provide updates, gather wage-loss information, and escalate legal issues to the attorneys as needed.

Tech-Forward Workflow

Maintain accurate, complete documentation in Clio Manage.

What We Are Looking For

  • Tech-Savvy: You learn new software quickly; experience with Clio is a major plus.
  • Resilient & Empathetic: You communicate well with clients dealing with stress or uncertainty.
  • Detail-Oriented: You review bills and records with a sharp, accurate eye.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred).
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and PDF management.
  • Prior experience in a law firm, medical office, or insurance environment is preferred, but we will train the right candidate with strong administrative skills.

Compensation

  • $24.00 – $27.00 per hour, based on experience.
