Position Summary:
The Cashier plays a critical role in delivering exceptional guest experiences while accurately handling cash and credit card transactions. This position works closely with two of the most important elements of the business: our guests and our cash registers.
As a trusted position, the incumbent must demonstrate honesty, reliability, strong work ethic, and complete product knowledge. The Cashier builds strong relationships with guests to enhance customer loyalty, support sales growth, and contribute to a boutique and brand we are proud of.
Key Responsibilities:Guest Experience & Customer Service
- Provide warm, efficient, and friendly customer service, ensuring all guests feel welcomed and valued.
- Listen attentively to guest needs and preferences to deliver a personalized and memorable experience.
- Advise customers confidently and competently on products, offerings, and recommendations.
- Maintain excellent product knowledge to respond to guest enquiries and resolve concerns effectively.
- Foster strong guest relationships to build loyalty and repeat business.
Cash Handling & Systems
- Accurately process cash and credit card transactions using company computer systems.
- Locate guest orders on the Business Unit’s system, confirm order accuracy, and advise on balances due.
- Process payments efficiently and issue correct receipts.
- Balance cash registers daily and generate required reports.
- Report any cash discrepancies or system issues immediately to the Assistant Manager.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure the Boutique is clean, organized, and presented in line with company Health and Safety guidelines.
- Follow all Standard Operating Policies and Procedures of the Business Unit at all times.
- Organize runners to collect guest orders while managing payment processing simultaneously.
- Meet operational timelines to ensure a smooth guest journey and timely order fulfillment.
Sales Support (During Peak Periods)
- Support the team as a Sales Assistant during busy periods.
- Take customer orders in person and occasionally over the phone, providing expert advice.
- Assist the team in delivering a boutique experience that reflects the brand’s standards and values.
Additional Duties
- Perform any other reasonable tasks assigned by the Boutique Manager or Assistant Manager.
