Summary:

The Purchaser/Buyer is responsible for all procurement for two high-volume local casinos, mainly focusing on Food & Beverage.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the development of long- and short-term F&B purchasing objectives, supplier allocation, pricing, and contracts
• Assist in establishing gross profit levels by maintaining a competitive cost basis through negotiation and vendor relationships
• Oversee items received, ensuring all inventory is appropriately recorded
• Maintain clear and organized records of the supplier database, purchase records, and related documentation
• Work independently to negotiate prices, services, terms, and assigned commodities with vendors
• Maintain relationships with all departments to oversee purchase requests
• Temporary or permanent duties and responsibilities may be added to or modified as deemed necessary

Qualifications

• Prior experience in Procurement within the gaming/hospitality industry preferred
• Bachelor’s Degree in business, supply chain, or related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
• Working knowledge and experience of a Financial and Procurement system(s); Stratton Warren, Redrock, InfoGenesis, Oracle
• Strong practical experience and knowledge of procurement and supply chain operations within the Hospitality/Casino industry
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
