Category Manager
About the Role
As a
Category Manager at Furlenco
, you will own the full P&L and growth of your category across rental, selling in different Sales channels (D2C, Offline). This is a strategic and execution-heavy role where you will drive
business growth, profitability, and new product launches
, while ensuring exceptional customer experience. You will partner with design, sourcing, supply chain, sales, growth, business finance and technology teams to create agile, scalable products.
Key Responsibilities :
Business & P&L Ownership
-
Own
category revenue, margins, and inventory health
across rental and selling channels.

Build and deliver
monthly, quarterly, and annual business targets
aligned with company goals.

Identify opportunities to drive
growth, pricing, and assortment efficiency
using analytics and customer insights.
Assortment & Product Strategy
-
Lead
assortment planning, new product development (NPD)
, and lifecycle management.

Conduct
market research and competitive benchmarking
to identify gaps and innovation opportunities.

Collaborate with design, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to
launch products faster
, balancing cost, aesthetics, and quality.
New Initiatives & Projects
-
Drive
category expansion projects
, pilot launches, and strategic partnerships.

Work with cross-functional teams (Tech, Ops, Growth, Finance, Sales) to
execute multi-stakeholder initiatives
efficiently.

Track and report project performance against defined timelines and KPIs.
Customer Experience & Brand Performance

Understand customer journeys to identify and eliminate friction points.

Do Research, Surveys and come up with insights

Partner with CX and Growth teams to
improve category engagement
.
Data & Insights

Leverage analytics to track performance metrics (conversion, AOV, churn, margin, etc.).

Build business dashboards and
derive actionable insights
for pricing, promotions, and product lifecycle.

Continuously optimize for
profitability and operational efficiency
.
Leadership & Collaboration
-
Work closely with senior leadership to align on strategy and execution priorities.

Influence multiple teams without direct authority;
lead through collaboration and impact
.

Build strong vendor relationships to ensure quality, cost, and delivery goals are met.
What We’re Looking For :

3 – 6 years of experience in
category management, merchandising, or business strategy
in consumer, retail, or e-commerce domains.

Proven track record of
driving category growth and delivering on P&L
.

Strong analytical mindset with fluency in
Excel/Sheets, data dashboards, and business metrics
.

Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
-
A balance of
strategic thinking and operational hustle
— someone who can ideate and execute equally well.
-
Prior exposure to
furniture, home décor, lifestyle, or consumer durables
is a plus.
